Graduating from the University of Rochester School of Medicine with Distinction in Research,  Dr. Chen is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board certified in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She has received formal fellowship training in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil's program at the University of Arizona, and  also trained with Helms Medical Institute for Medical Acupuncture and Chinese Scalp Acupuncture for Physicians. Dr Chen incorporates  hypnotherapy, strain-counterstrain manual therapy, and heart-rate variability biofeedback training, along with nutrition, herbal therapies and body mind techniques, and sees each patient as an individual.
